Where It All Began

Chosen & Cherished was born from the classroom.

As special education teachers, we witnessed firsthand the challenges many children faced when their educational needs were not fully understood, their academic struggles went unaddressed, or the support available to them was not enough to help them succeed. We saw bright, capable children lose confidence as they struggled with reading, math, writing, and other foundational skills. We saw families searching for answers, advocating for their children, and trying to navigate educational systems that could sometimes feel overwhelming.

We knew there had to be more.

Chosen & Cherished was created to be part of the solution. A place where children are seen for their strengths, supported according to their individual needs, and given meaningful opportunities to grow. Our work focuses on young learners during the critical early years of development, providing supplemental support in reading, math, and writing, while helping families better understand and support their children's educational journeys.

We created Chosen & Cherished

Today, Chosen & Cherished serves children who face a variety of educational barriers, including children with IEPs and learning challenges, children in foster care, military-connected children, and children from low-income families.

Because a child's circumstances should never determine their opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
